This is my bachelor graduate design, studying the possibility of using morphogenesis to generate form-finding system. It was proved to be quite challenging but also a novel and interesting trial. There were not so much time after I had a basic form but it could be potensial to develop into a real architectural form.

Morphogenesis is a term initially used in the field of biological science, which refers to the logic of form generation in an organism through processes of growth and differentiation. Here it stands for a specific design approach that can simulate the generation of wetland, from which the features extracted also give architecture a special space experience. Instead of up-bottom, this new approach uses logic of bottom-up, copying process of wetland growth into architecture, thus letting the designed museum share kindred gene with wetland.

The generation process is conducted in "processing", based on particle system which uses spring to simulate elastic mesh. Random forces are applied in the system so that the system reacts and deforms into a shape that resembles wetland. Attractive & repulsive forces are added upon the system in attempt to introduce functional requirement. Finally the system is transferred into rhino for modeling.
